EYEBROWS POST-CARE
* 1st DAY AFTER PROCEDURE: As soon as you leave and get to your car to leave, start blotting brows with tissue to absorb lymphatic fluid that is excreting from tattoo. It may look like little beats of sweat, but do not let that dry on your eyebrows to prevent extra scabbing and flaking.
1. The next morning: With clean hands, gently wash eyebrow area using a fragrance-free cleanser (such as Cetaphil or Ceravie) and water.
2. Allow eyebrows to completely dry before applying ointment we gave you (pat dry with clean towel or paper towel.
3. Once brows have fully dried, apply a thin layer of ointment we gave you with clean fingertips (rice size amount on each brow).
Repeat above steps 1 to 2 times per day for 10 days after service.
DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking will cause scarring and pigment loss!
Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for a minimum of 4 weeks after your procedure. Direct sunlight can cause the pigment to change color while it is healing and can also cause hyper pigmentation and scarring.
NO underwater swimming and bathing for 4 weeks to avoid bacterial infection.
Avoid pool, sauna, steam rooms, steamy showers, and hot baths for 10 days.
Avoid sweating on your face for 10 days. Sweating through or on the brows will expel pigment from the dermis producing poor "patchy results.
Avoid sleeping on your brow area for the first 10 days.
Keep your bangs and hair pulled back from your face for the first 10 days.
NO makeup or skincare products to be used on the brow area for 10 days.
Protect your investment after you’ve healed!
Exposure to the sun and tanning beds will cause premature fading and discoloration of the pigment.
Apply a physical sunscreen daily on brow area once completely healed (10 days). We love Skinceuticals Physical Fusion.
For further sun protection wear hats, sunglasses, and stay in the shade!
Maintain removal of unwanted brow hair outside of your tattooed brow design by tweezing, threading, waxing, or razoring.
Lasers will alter the color of the pigment. 20% zinc oxide must covering your brow tattoo prior to any laser services.
Yearly touchups are recommended to maintain your results.
Certain skincare products and services will cause premature fading of your brow tattoo and may also alter the pigment color. Please apply a barrier layer of Vaseline over your brow tattoo before use of any of the following: glycolic acid, salicylic acid, alpha hydroxy acid, hydroquinone, retinol/retin-a, vitamin c, peels, microdermabrasion, Obagi,or anything anything that brightens or treats hyperpigmentation.
Frequent chlorine swimmers, please apply a barrier layer of Vaseline over your tattoo prior to swimming, to prevent premature fading.
The above Pre and Post-Care for brows will affect how quickly or slowly you heal. Mature age, poor diet, stress, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, age, general health, sleep/fatigue. The more fatigued you are the lower your immune system is and infection is more likely to occur. Please get plenty of rest and drink lots of water to hydrate prior to your procedure!
*** We have a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for those to those who fail to follow our Pre and Post Care Instructions. Failing to follow the above instructions will result in your artist denying your service and possibly future services. There are no implied or written guarantees, especially if you do not follow instructions!
LIPBLUSH
As a necessary precaution, if you have ever had a cold sore in your life, you will be required to take an anti-viral prescribed by your doctor (i.e. Valtrex). Cold sore outbreaks are often triggered by stress or trauma to the lips and skin and can effect the healing and results. Therefore if you are a carrier, lip blush will likely cause an outbreak if you do not take an anti-viral medication prior. The medication should be taken for a total of 5 days (2 days prior to procedure, 1 day-of, and 2 days post-procedure). There are absolutely NO exceptions to this rule! This rule holds true for every time you have any lip tattoo.
Examples of antiviral medications: Zovirax, Famvir or Valtrex. You will need to contact your physician in order to obtain your prescription strength anti-viral medication. You must inform them of your decision to have permanent cosmetic tattoo applied to your lips and they will need to call your prescription in for you to pick up at your pharmacy.
PRE- CARE FOR LIPS
- If you have experienced cold sores before, be sure to begin your prescription strength antiviral medication 2 days prior to the procedure. (Like Valtrex)
- Do not work out the morning of the procedure.
- NO alcohol, caffeine or stimulants 24 hours before the procedure (Yes, there is caffeine in decaf coffee and tea!).
- Avoid sun and tanning one week prior to the procedure.
- Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Advil/Ibuprofen 48 hours before the procedure (Extra Strength Tylenol is good)
- Avoid Fish Oil, Primrose Oil, Prenatal Vitamins, Nutritional Shakes (Shakeology, etc), "Hair, Skin, Nail" supplements for a minimum of 48 hours prior to procedure.
- Discontinue Retin-A, and Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) at least 3 weeks prior
- Must wait a minimum of 3 weeks after lip fillers and 3 weeks after touch-up.
- Exfoliate (sugar scrub) and hydrate (Aquaphor or Vaseline) your lips the week leading up to your appointment.
- Drink plenty of fluids the week prior to your procedure.
- If you have received lip implants, it is important to wait a minimum of six month after before scheduling a lip tattoo procedure, and obtain written medical clearance from your surgeon.
Please Note: You will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.
POST CARE FOR LIPS
*Immediately following the procedure, lips may feel just like chapped lips, tight and tender to the touch.
- If needed, complete your antiviral medication to prevent an outbreak.
- Apply ointment on lips several times a day. This should be done for at least 10 days post treatment. Do not allow lips to become dry. This may interfere with healed color. During the day if lips feel dry, apply a light layer of ointment. Make sure to dab/press onto skin, do not rub it in.
- Itching is normal, DO NOT PICK!
- Drink everything through a straw for 2 weeks until lips completely peel.
- DO NOT stretch the lips. Avoid biting into large sandwiches, etc. Cut food into tiny bites.
- Do not bite into greasy, oily, salty or spicy foods, rather cut them up and place them into your mouth.
- While eating, do not constantly wipe your lips with a napkin or keep licking your lips as this will impede the healing process. DO NOT PICK dry healing tissue or you WILL remove the pigment color!
- Avoid underwater swimming and batching for a minimum of 2 weeks to avoid bacterial infection.
- Do not expose the lips to direct sunlight (wear a hat or sunscreen in this case) or tanning beds for 2 weeks. This is new skin and will sunburn easily and direct sun prematurely may also cause scarring and alter pigment color.
- You may wear lipstick, lipgloss, and chapstick after 5 days, make sure the tube of lip product is new.
- No smoking while lips are healing (10 days minimum).
- No kissing, rubbing or friction on your newly tattooed lips until after 5 days or you may lose pigment.
- Lips may be dry for up to 3 months depending on the body reaction.
Expect moderate swelling, usually 1-2 days following the procedure. Scabbing may make the lips feel thick. Lips will fade up to 50% after the first 3 days. While healing, the tattoo will look patchy. This is due to skin regeneration and healing. Some New Clients may require multiple sessions ( at an additional cost) to achieve their desired density and shape.
The above Pre and Post-Care for lips will affect how quickly or slowly you heal. Mature age, poor diet, stress, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, age, general health, sleep/fatigue. The more fatigued you are the lower your immune system is and infection is more likely to occur. Please get plenty of rest and drink lots of water to hydrate prior to the procedure.
- If you have had any type of eye surgery, including cataract, Lasik, and/or blepharoplasty, you mustconsult your physician and get clearance. Most physicians require 3-6 months before you can have your eyeliner done. This is because there is slight pressure and stretching on and around the eye during the procedure. (text me if recently had this)
- Previously tattooed eyeliner (send picture via text to see if you are a good candidate)
- Pregnant or nursing
- Diabetic (text me for questions, I do work on diabetics but information is required)

- Taken Doxycycline in the past 6 months
- Allergies to anesthetic (lidocaine) or epinephrine
- Extremely oily or problematic skin
- Cancer or chemotherapy
- Auto-immune diseases
For your eyeliner to heal properly (and look their best) these Pre & Post Care Instructions found below are of the UTMOST IMPORTANCE! Pre-Care instructions are designed to limit bleeding and skin sensitivities during the service. Excessing bleeding during the procedure will dilute the pigment color and lead to poor results!
Attention Please: We strongly advise prospective new clients to book their appointments at least 1 week in advance of Vacations, Weddings, and Special Occasions. This allows adequate time for healing and time to receive touch ups (at an additional cost if desired).
